Visiting Monte Gordo
Monte Gordo is a big town that lies in the east of Algarve, south Portugal. The town is spaciously laid out with its wide streets. The town’s apartment blocks and high-rise hotels are characteristic features of the landscape of Monte Gordo though they don’t detract from the general ambience and feel of the town because of its huge land area.
Monte Gordo lies just 3 kilometers to the western portion of the Vila Real de Santo Antonio town, which was formerly Monte Gordo’s quiet fishing village and the last line of famous beach resorts in the eastern part of Algarve.
