Default Albufeira

There is a legend on the Travessa de Igreja, the doorway at the Church of Sao Sebastiao. The Manueline doorway has been said to have survived the earthquake of 1755, the Moorish renovation of the Church into a Mosque, and the onslaught of hordes fighting the Crusades. The legend has it that by standing underneath the doorway, your prayers would be answered, as it was when the King said his prayers by the doorway.

Albufeira seems to be a nice place from all the vistas and scenes I have seen online.

Is there a motorhome community where I can park my vehicle? I am not into hotels but I find it more cost effective to motor while I vacation.

Anyone out there who can suggest a place nearby? If not, what part of Portugal has a motorhome community?

The Olhos de Agua is one of the few areas in Portugal where a car will only bog you down. It is best to hire taxis when in the area so you won’t get a headache finding parking space for your rental.

The place is a quiet resort and devoid of the raucous nightlife of many other areas. If you want to enjoy yourself the bacchian way, then Albufeira is the place for you.

I went to Praia da Rocha and I saw all the sites that have been trumpeted in the area. The pictures don’t do justice to the natural landscape of the area.

I have pictures of me on “Three Bears”, “Indented Rocks” and “Two Brothers” as they rise from the sand. I highly recommend you set your itinerary to the area for full enjoyment of a Portuguese holiday.
